Dr. Gary Kerhoulas graduated from University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry, Class of ’83 and practiced family dentistry in Mississauga for over 30 years. During this time, he developed a philosophy of care based on clinical experience, continued professional development and forward thinking. His interests in dentistry include comprehensive prosthodontics, cosmetic procedures, dental implant surgery and the latest in CAD/CAM dental design.
Dr. Kerhoulas attended the world-renowned Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. The Institute’s philosophy is based on elevating the standards of care for dental patients around the world by advancing the professional knowledge and personal fulfillment of the individual dentist. This paradigm, along with his body of work formed the foundation for Kerhoulas Dental…the smile you want, which debuted in May 2006.
Comfort, relaxation and personal service are delivered to patients of all ages in a friendly, spa inspired environment. Further to this theme, Dr. Kerhoulas offers comprehensive dental treatment in The Studio… a private retreat located on the upper level of the main practice. Dr. Kerhoulas maintains active membership in the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the International Organization of Computerized Dentistry. Dr. Kerhoulas will continue to investigate and adopt new technologies, materials and protocols for the benefit of all patients in his care.
To balance his life, Gary enjoys his home and garden, vacationing with his family, and playing the odd round of golf.
Dr. Pearson received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Toronto in 1976. While practicing family dentistry as an associate he returned to academia at the University of Toronto and in 1979 was bestowed a Diploma in Periodontics. He has been in private practice specializing in periodontics and implantology since 1979. Dr. Pearson joined Kerhoulas Dental in 2002 and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Having an in-house periodontist is a luxury that greatly enhances Dr. Kerhoulas’ ability to provide the cosmetic and comprehensive dentistry that his patient’s demand and deserve. When not practicing, Dr. Pearson is a clinical instructor in the Post-graduate Department of Periodontics at the University of Toronto. Dr. Pearson’s spare time is devoted to his family and of course, golf!
Dr. Jay Khimani, DDS
Dr. Jay Khimani was born in Uganda, Africa and migrated to the United States in 1972. His family established themselves in Chicago, Illinois, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree at Aurora University. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University Chicago, graduating with the class of 1988. He has been practicing dentistry for over 25 years, beginning with family dentistry in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
Dr. Khimani maintains his enthusiasm for education and dentistry by participating in many continuing education courses including implant dentistry, Invisalign®, sleep apnea, advanced restorative dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. His experience, along with advancements in dentistry, have helped Dr. Khimani provide dental care in a compassionate, kind and patient-focused environment.
He is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association, American Dental Association, Royal College of Dental Surgeons and the Canadian Dental Association.
When he’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Khimani likes to spend time with his three children and travel with his family. He has participated in the World Partnership Walk, Canadian Civic 150, and volunteers at various events with the Time and Knowledge organization.
Leaving his favourite sport teams, the Cubs and Blackhawks, back in Chicago has been an adjustment, but as a Canadian, he is passionate about WE THE NORTH!
Vicky joined Kerhoulas Dental as a Dental Assistant Level II after graduating in 2001 from George Brown College. Motivated by knowledge she furthered her education in pursuing a program focused on practice management and communications. Her success in this program enabled her in 2004 to become the Treatment Coordinator at Kerhoulas Dental. Her extensive knowledge in all aspects of dentistry enables her to effectively liaise between our patients, doctors and insurance companies. Her mantra is customer service. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, shopping and travelling.
Joanne achieved her Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree at St. John Fisher University at Rochester New York in 1978. She then transferred to the University of Toronto to pursue her Masters in Education which she achieved in 1980. For the next eight years Joanne was a teacher at the primary level, an associate lecturer at the University of Toronto teaching Italian studies and an extremely busy mother raising 3 young children. In 1990, she joined her husband at Kerhoulas Dental becoming the Director of Operations. For twenty-four years her presence has brought a sense of stability and direction that has helped in making Kerhoulas Dental the success that it is today. Joanne’s coveted spare time is devoted to her husband, three children, cooking and fitness.
Pauline is a seven year veteran of the dental profession. In April 2011 she joined Kerhoulas Dental in the capacity of Business Facilitator. As a Business Facilitator, Pauline continues to succeed in fulfilling her mission to provide expedient and caring service to our patients. Pauline enjoys spending quality time with her family, reading, shopping and cooking.
Kelly graduated from the Toronto School of Business with a diploma in Dental Assisting in 1998. She joined Kerhoulas Dental in 2007 as a business facilitator. During her time at the practice she has developed a strong rapport with the patients. Her devotion to detail helps to ensure that our patients receive the best care possible. Kelly enjoys travelling, going to the movies, cooking and spending time with her two wonderful children.
Lora graduated from Lorne Park Secondary School where she completed the Dental Assisting/Radiation Protection Program. She further enhanced her education by successfully completing the Dental Assisting Level II Program at Holland College in Prince Edward Island. Lora began her career with Kerhoulas Dental in 1990. Her contribution to the practice has been immeasurable, benefitting all those whom she interacts with. Her presence is a constant in an ever evolving dental practice. Her special interests include her family and baking.
Janine graduated from the Chairside Dental Assistant program at the Toronto School of Business in 1994. She joined Kerhoulas Dental in 2005 where she quickly established herself as an integral team member. Her commitment to continuing education has resulted in her becoming an expert in CAD/CAM (Cerec) dentistry. While her hobbies include reading and watching movies, her true passion is her family.
Cheryl is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been a member of Kerhoulas Dental since 1985 where she began her career as a dental assistant. Cheryl earned a diploma in Dental Hygiene from the University of Birmingham, UK in 1992 and after returning to Mississauga Cheryl worked part-time as a dental hygienist while raising her two children. Cheryl continues to maintain her professional portfolio by attending various continuing education courses and workshops on an ongoing basis, to keep current in new and ever changing technologies. Cheryl lives in Mississauga, and enjoys spending quality time with her family, loves to travel and enjoys reading, golfing and skiing.
Karen graduated with a diploma in Dental Hygiene from John Abbott College in 1979. After practicing for 20 years she moved with her family to Mississauga. She joined Kerhoulas Dental in 2006. Her wealth of experience has greatly enhanced the hygiene department and benefits all of the patients she interacts with. Karen’s spare time is devoted to her family and pursuing her love for arts and crafts.
With over 20 years of dental experience, Glona has a profound knowledge of her profession. After working as a receptionist and an assistant she later attained her Hygiene Diploma from George Brown College in 2000. Shortly thereafter she joined the Kerhoulas Dental team. She enjoys getting to know her clients individually and providing them with the highest quality of dental care in the gentlest manner. She is a loving wife and busy mom to her three sons.
